Lauren Buchanan is a mosaic artist from Austin. Self-taught, she attempts to cut her ideas from metal and bottle cap and fasten them to wood with nail and staple to varying degrees of success. This work is about inheritance and adolescence, a young person’s journey to accept who they are growing into even as their future may not yet fit their form.
